Flood Wardens needed!

Hilton Parish Council have received the following request from South Derbyshire District Council.

The Environment Agency are looking to recruit more Flood Wardens. The Flood Warden scheme is designed to encourage communities to become more resilient. Amongst other things, Wardens monitor local watercourses, offer advice and information to the public and assist responding agencies in the identification of people who may be vulnerable. They receive full training in the role.

We already have Parish Councillors who act as Flood Wardens but it would be good to recruit additional Flood Wardens in the village who could work alongside the Parish Council to help us to respond to flooding in a coordinated way.
